The Nova Rotors Diamond series includes the DHS-JHS Progressive Cavity Pump, which comes with hopper and an enlarged auger screw for feeding the product into the pump. This allows it to handle products with an even higher level of dry solids than the DH. The standard DHS model can do up to 35% of dry solid, and for even higher concentration (up to 40%) there is the DHSB progressive cavity pump which has an motorised conveyor feed fitted above the inlet to ease the flow of solids into the pump.

The helical rotor pump can be constructed of a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel and cast iron, which makes it suitable for many applications including dehydrated sludge, water treatment, biowaste, minced meat, fruits and vegetables and bio-waste.

For more guidance on how this pump works and the applications it is used for, read our progressive cavity pump guide.

FAQs

It consists of a spiralled helical rotor (like a cork screw) that sits tightly inside a rubber stator/sleeve. As the rotor turns inside the stator, it forms a set of fixed-shaped cavities that progress along the length of the stator and force the fluid inside to move along with them as they turn.
