The Flux F640 PP Centrifugal Vertical Immersion Pump is typically used for pumping larger volumes of corrosive, low flammable liquids in both mobile and fixed applications from containers, tanks and reservoirs. This range vertically immersed sump pumps are fitted with mechanical seals in ceramic oxide/SiC and FKM o- rings. The mechanical seal keeps the liquid separate from the bearings and upper shaft; PP steel-cored inner tube provides perfect stability, prevents plastic elongation at high temperatures and ensures great integrity for the mechanical seal.
These Flux vertical cantilever pumps are commonly used for chemical processing, engineering metal-working, electroplating and water treatment.
Features of the F 640 Vertical Cantilever Pump:
- Vertical centrifugal immersion pump
- Fitted ceramic oxide/SiC mechanical seal with FKM O-rings.
- Suitable for pumping corrosive liquids with viscosity up to 2500 mPas (cP)
- Liquid is never in contact with the bearings.
- Motor connects to the pump via flexible coupling
- Available with a wide range of three phase motors from 0.75 to 4.0 kW
- Motors available jet proof to IP55
- Four models available; 15, 15 Z 30 and 30 Z to suit different applications capacities.
- Available with either closed centrifugal impeller (Z) in PP or open conical impeller in PP.

FAQs
Otherwise known as a vertical column pump, this is where there is an elongated shaft to separate the motor above the fluid from the pump that is immersed in the fluid.
As the pump head is within the fluid, vertically immersed pumps maintain a flooded suction. They are therefore ideal for applications where typically a self-priming pump is required, such as the emptying of tanks, reservoirs, sumps and wells.
The main difference is that whilst a submersible pump's full assembly including the motor is submerged in the fluid, with a vertical column pump, only the pump is and the motor remains dry above it.
To ensure you get the correct Flux spare parts, we need to identify the exact Flux pump model you have. Please provide the model and serial number found on the pump name plate.
Castle Pumps can supply all Flux pump parts detailed on the spare parts list including motor, o-ring, shaft seal, impeller, inner and outer tube worldwide.
If you are pumping one liquid or very similar liquids, you can use the F314 or F424 seal-less models provided that the materials are compatible, if you are pumping multiple diferent liquids or where cross contamination is not desirable use the F310 or F430 drum pumps.
The general rule of thumb is that for low-medium duty applications where viscosity is <250cP the F300 is sufficient. For heavy duty applications, flammable liquids and viscosities of <1200cP choose the F400. For shear sensitive fluids or viscosities that exceed 1200cP then the Viscpower is required. Upon disclosure of your application, we can confirm the best solution.
All Flux barrel and IBC pump models are available with additional accessories that we can supply as a kit should you need delivery hose, a trigger nozzle, valves, flow meter and any other fittings.
