The Flux F426 Series Electric Barrel Pump is designed for transferring low viscosity inhomogeneous fluids including chemicals, acid and oil up to 1200cP from a barrel and IBC. This chemical drum pump is suitable for both pumping and mixing almost every fluid, which makes it the perfect solution for fluids that tend to separate, even during pumping, such as water-based paints. Complete with an adjusting level to control the ratio of pumping to mixing, this chemical pump has three operating modes: transfer, mixing only and transfer with simultaneous mixing.
Suitable for continuous running heavy duty applications, this electric drum pump for chemicals has a mechanical seal that protects bearings from abrasive particles. The F426 Flux barrel pump is lightweight and easy to move, dismantle and clean, meaning it can be used for multiple pumping applications rather than being used for a single purpose. This chemical pump is available in stainless steel or polypropylene, with a wide choice of o-ring materials, makes it a versatile solution across various industries. The Flux F426 barrel pump is also available with ATEX certificate for use in hazardous areas and with a re-enforced inner tube on PP model for increased strength and mechanical seal support.
Features of the F 426 Flux Drum Pump:
- Heavy duty, electric drum pump with mixer
- Designed for dispensing and mixing in barrels and IBCs

- Variety of motor options available including brushless motors, commutator motors, air motors and three-phase gear motors
This Flux pump is a perfect pumping solution for transferring fluids that tend to separate, even during pumping from drum or IBC. The chemical transfer pump is suitable for continuous running and heavy duty operations.
- High-quality barrel pump – Flux pumps are well known German-made barrel pumps that have been in the market for over 70 years.
- Quickly disassembled for cleaning – The F426 electric drum pump for chemicals can be quickly and easily taken apart for cleaning, making it a perfect pumping solution for many industrial applications.
- Pumping and mixing function – This chemical drum pump is suitable for both pumping and/or mixing inhomogeneous fluids such as water-based paint. With the outlet closed, the F 426 can be temporarily used as a pure barrel mixer.
- Robust design – The F426 PP model has a re-enforced inner tube that provides additional support and increased service life.
The Flux F426 barrel pump is designed for transferring light liquids, including chemicals, acids and oil, up to 1200 cP. The chemical pump is ideal for use with fluids that separate, even during pumping, such as water-based paints.
- Acids such as hydrochloric acid, boric acid, sulfuric acid, citric acid
- Petroleum, diesel, heating oil, hydraulic oil, engine oil
- Gasoline, formic acid (as from 85 %), ethylene glycol

FAQs
Put most simply, a barrel pump, is a pump connected to an immersion tube that sits within the drum with its motor located outside of the container. The pump draws up the fluid through its immersion tube and is then dispensed via a hose or pipe that is connected to its outlet.
If you have a 1000 litre IBC you will require a 1200mm tube, a 205 litre drum requires a 1000mm and if you have a smaller container 700mm and shorter tubes are available. For larger containers we can offer longer tube sets on specification
If your fluid is prone to crystallisation, then you can use the F310 or F430 models as the pump bearings are protected from wear.
The F425 model is capable of emptying 99.98% of a container's contents. This drum pump is generally selected when the liquid is particularly valuable to minimise waste.
The F426 model is capable of both mixing and pumping the liquid within the container, which is a lower cost solution when compared to a separate mixer and pump.
For liquids with a flashpoint below 50°C, we offer our Stainless Steel F400 models and Viscopower series with ATEX approved motors or Viscoflux Lite EX.
Our range includes both FDA and 3A approved hygienic models. When the viscosity is >1200cP we offer the sanitary Viscopower F570 and F580 models and the Viscoflux Mobile. If <1200cP we typically select the F427, or the F430 food grade version when pumping alcohols or foodstuff with solids.
If you are pumping one liquid or very similar liquids, you can use the F314 or F424 seal-less models, if you are pumping multiple diferent liquids or where cross contamination is not desirable use the F310 or F430 drum pumps.
To ensure you get the correct Flux spare parts, we need to identify the exact Flux pump model you have. Please provide the model and serial number found on the pump name plate.
Castle Pumps can supply all Flux pump parts detailed on the spare parts list including motor, o-ring, shaft seal, impeller, inner and outer tube worldwide.
If you are pumping one liquid or very similar liquids, you can use the F314 or F424 seal-less models provided that the materials are compatible, if you are pumping multiple diferent liquids or where cross contamination is not desirable use the F310 or F430 drum pumps.
The general rule of thumb is that for low-medium duty applications where viscosity is <250cP the F300 is sufficient. For heavy duty applications, flammable liquids and viscosities of <1200cP choose the F400. For shear sensitive fluids or viscosities that exceed 1200cP then the Viscpower is required. Upon disclosure of your application, we can confirm the best solution.
All Flux barrel and IBC pump models are available with additional accessories that we can supply as a kit should you need delivery hose, a trigger nozzle, valves, flow meter and any other fittings.
