The Boyser DS-M Series Peristaltic Pump is the smallest model in our range of peristaltic pumps, making it ideal for dosing applications of small amounts of fluids at low flow rates and pressures. Whilst compact in size for production line applications, these peristaltic dosing pumps with remain durable and quality for continuous operation and reliability for metering applications thanks to their three roller design which minimises pulsations.
One of the largest benefits of the peristaltic hose pump design is that the hose is the only wearing part, which is easy to clean and replace, making it simple and low cost to maintain relative to other pumping technologies. Thanks to its internal hose being available in a variety of materials and 5 different tube diameters, its ability to handle solids, viscous fluids with little moisture and shear sensitive mediums these Boyser pumps are extremely versatile. However their primary applications are in the food, chemical and water treatment industries.
This peristaltic dosing pump is available with both single and double head. The double head version allows for two separate suction and discharge lines n a single motor, achieving the duty of two pumps.
Features of the DS-M peristaltic tube pump:
- Excellent accuracy and motor speed is proportional to flow making it ideal for dosing applications
- Good suction lift and self priming
- Single and double head versions for increased output
- Can dry run without damage and handle fluids with low moisture content
- Inner hose available in a variety of materials for compatibility with almost any fluid.
- Seal-less design makes them less likely to leak – ideal for chemicals and aggressive fluids
- Can handle solids up to pretty much the size of the peristaltic pump inlet/outlet and viscosities up to 8000 cSt
- Gentle pumping motion and low rpm means that they can handle shear sensitive fluids without disrupting the fluid’s natural structure
- Simple and lost cost to maintain thanks to the hose being the only wearing part, which is easy to clean and replace, and the absence of valves and seals that can clog and wear.
- Variety of drive options which include fixed or variable speed (with speed control)
- 230v, three phase 50hz / 60hz motors available
- ATEX approved, marine certification and food grade certification available
The Bosyer DS-M peristaltic pump are the ideal solutions for applications where typically, other pumping technologies fail. The following benefits make peristaltic pumps ideal for heavy duty site applications, various chemicals and process liquids and abrasive and viscous slurries.
- Abrasion resistant – Can handle highly viscous slurries, dry mediums and fluids containing sharp, large or stringy solids such as metal, stones and rags without damage or clogging.
- Low maintenance – The inner hose is the only wetted part to clean and replace. With no valves to clog and no seals to fail, the cost of spares and length of downtime is limited.
- Leak free - Being seal-free peristaltic hose pumps are unlikely to leak fluid making them ideal for aggressive chemicals and process liquids. Boyser models also have a patented double conical hose clamp for leak free connection.
- Self-priming & dry running – As fluid isn’t required to be constantly present; peristaltic pumps can run dry without costly damage if left operating and can self-prime.
- Gentle pumping action – Suitable for shear sensitive products that can be damaged or altered by the operation of other pumping technologies such as clay or cement.
- Extremely accurate - Low pulsation flow enabling accurate metering at even lowest of flow rates

FAQs
Peristaltic pumps are part of the rotary positive displacement pump family. They are made up of just two components; a rotor that has a number of rollers or a "shoe" attached and a flexible internal hose/tube fitted inside a circular pump casing. As the rotor turns, the attached rollers compress the tube where the fluid is contained, and that continuous motion forces the liquid from the pump's inlet to its outlet.
The beauty of the peristaltic pump design it it's single wearing part; the inner hose. Whilst other pumps have seals, impellers, bearings, gaskets and coupling bushes to maintain over time, peristaltic pumps only have to replace the inner hose. This combine with the absence of a mechanical seal means that they can also run dry indefinitely without risk of damage.
Ensuring compatibility with the fluid being pumped is a vital part of peristaltic pump specification to avoid swelling, erosion and even melting of the inner hose. Our Boyser peristaltic pumps are available with Natural Rubber, NBR, EPDM, Norprene, Tygon and Hypalon hoses. Upon disclosure of the fluid you are handling we will establish the best solution.
Metering pumps are typically used to accurately delivery ingredients, additives and chemicals in food, process and water treatment industries.
A dosing pump, otherwise known as a metering pump, is designed to very precisely deliver a specific quanitity of fluid to a container, tank or fluid stream at controlled intervals.
Dosing pumps are able to provide precise metering through their smooth, pulsation free operation and ability to achieve extremely low flow rates whilst maintaining accuracy.
Yes. The inner hose, which is the only part that comes into contact with the fluid, is available in food grade materials including NBR.
One of the great features of the peristaltic design is its ability to run dry without damage. This can give peace of mind when being used unmanned or to empty a tank or container.
Yes, peristaltic hose pumps have excellent suction capabilities without need for a manual priming device.
Castle Pumps can supply all Boyser parts parts detailed on the spare parts list including the replacement inner hose worldwide.
To ensure you get the correct part, we need to identify the exact Boyser pump model you have. For the AMP, FMP and RBT series we need to know the model number, which can be found on the pump’s name plate on the pump body, and the material of the hose. If you have a Boyser DS-M we will also need to know the diameter of the inner hose as these differ.
Boyser pump models are available with additional accessories including inverter for variable speed, pulsation dampener to reduce vibrations and provide a smoother flow, trolley or base plate, batch meter for preset transfer, control panel and feed screw or hopper.
