Azcue BOB VP/EP Long Coupled Self Priming Centrifugal Pump

The Azcue BOB VP/EP Centrifugal Self Priming Pump is the BOB long coupled centrifugal pump complete with a choice of vacuum or electric priming pump for applications where the suction conditions are difficult. The vacuum priming pump would be the better solution for longer suction distances thanks to its ability to dry run for short periods of time.

The BOB is a much larger pump with higher flow and pressure performance than the other horizontal centrifugal pump models. Ideal for installations involving relatively clean liquids such as water and light fuels, its capabilities makes it suitable for larger volume water transfer applications, the cooling of really large equipment and firefighting where masses of flow is required.

Its long coupled design means that this model of single stage centrifugal pump is easier to maintain as you can get to the pump head without removing the motor first. It is also more durable for continuous operation as it has additional bearings in the pump head to share the strain.

Thanks to its flexible rather than rigid coupling, the BOB centrifugal water pump is able to absorb vibrations better within the installation. This is a back pull out self priming centrifugal pump, which means the motor can be removed without disconnecting the pump from the pipework, making the maintenance process quicker and simpler. This model has wear rings, which means there is small clearance between the impeller and pump casing stopping the wearing of these parts. Wearing rings are designed to be replaced periodically, preventing the more costly replacement of the impeller or casing.

These Azcue pumps have separate shafts in the pump head and motor which means that if there is ever a problem with one shaft, there is no need to replace it all; a benefit over alternatives on the market that have one continuous shaft from head to motor.
