Close Coupled Screw Pumps for Fuel & Oil Transfer
For over 10 years, Castle Pumps have been supplying pumping solution to the industrial and marine market, meaning we have extensive product knowledge and experience and can help you select the right pump for your application. Our range of closed coupled screw pumps is a reliable and high-quality pumping solution for transferring clean, lubricating fluids such as fuels, oils and lubricants. Thanks to their close coupled design, our screw pump range is compact in size for installations with limited space and has a top-mounted suction and discharge. The nature of our close coupled screw pumps design means they can be used where suction capabilities are difficult such as pumping over long distances or where the pump is located above the fluid.

FAQs
Triple screw pumps consist of a driving screw and two idler screws. The motor shaft rotates the driving screw which in turns rotates the intermeshing twin idler screws that the fluid passes along.
Screw pumps are ideal for handling fuels, oils and lubricants, thanks to their ability to maintain efficiency regardless of fluctuations in viscosity. As lubricating fluids' viscosities are susceptible to change as their temperature changes, the performance of a screw pump is able to remain consistent.
When it comes to fuel and oils, gear pumps are a more known technology, when infact screw pumps have a lot of benefits. They have a smaller footprint in comparison, provide a less turbulent smoother flow, less noise and vibrations and better mechanical efficiency. Unlike other positive displacement pumps, screw pumps cannot handle solids so waste oils are usually avoided unless used with a strainer/filter.
Yes upon request. Being able to operate in both directions makes these screw pumps ideal for tank to tank transfer as well as returning excess liquid out of the pipework when transfer is complete.
Yes! All Azcue triple screw pumps are marine type approved by classification societies including Lloyds, Bureau Veritas and ABS. They are also suitable for low sulphur fuel down to 0.1% in line with the 2020 Global Sulphur Cap.
Our Azcue screw pumps are available with optional magnetic coupling. The absence of a mechanical seal to couple the pump and motor eliminates the chance of leaks caused by wear, which is often desirable when the fuel being pumped is flammable.
Yes, screw pumps have excellent suction capabilities without need for a manual priming device.
