Brine, a high concentration solution of salt in water, is used within many industrial processes including HVAC cooling systems, refrigeration, de-icing and for preserving and seasoning in food processing. Like with most water-based applications, salt water pumps are typically centrifugal or side channel in design. When selecting a brine pump, one of the most important requirements is the compatibility with the corrosive nature of salt content.
