Enquiry
The customer’s wood treatment facility had been expanded which meant that their existing high temperature, thermal oil boiler pumps were no longer suitable. The client therefore required replacement units to make up the extra friction loss through their system which could also handle the thermal oil operating temperature of 300ºC. Furthermore, the customer wanted to re-use their existing control panels so there was a power restriction for the motors of 30 kW.
Solution
Through the use of various in house selection software, Castle Pumps were able to compare various hot oil pumps in their database to match the client’s capacity and motor power requirements over the phone, confirm the options with the client and generate a quote within a matter of 48 hours. The result meant that the customer could re-use their existing panels and drop in the new thermal oil pumps to their existing pipework with little, if any, modifications.
