Enquiry
Castle Pumps were approached by an existing Subsea Oil & Gas customer that needed to upgrade their current pump system for supplying domestic fresh water to their hyperbaric diving chamber. This was a crucial application and the equipment needed to be reliable as the chamber was deep below the ocean away from any immediate assistance. The application required a high pressure pump operating at 76 Litres/min at 55 Bar.
Solution
The combination of low flow rate and high pressure perfectly suited the performance range of a plunger pump. Castle Pumps has access to a high quality and reliable range of plunger pumps and we knew this would be perfectly suited for this application.
We selected a 25 frame plunger pump with brass internals. We wanted to supply the customer with a complete skid mounted system that could be connected and up and running immediately. The system consisted of the pump, motor, belt drive, guard and steel base. This is just one of many examples of where Castle Pumps has supplied a customised and engineered solution to perfectly meet a customer’s unique requirements.
