Enquiry

A shipyard in Japan was building a new asphalt carrier, for which they needed a cargo booster pump for installing on the ship’s deck. As the asphalt was required to be pumped at a temperature as high as 200°C, a very specific solution was needed

To allow them to verify that the proposed fuel oil cargo pump is suitable for their requirements, it was important that we could also supply the customer with custom drawing and technical data sheets.

Solution

With years of experience supplying screw pumps, Castle Pumps have built a strong relationship with a highly reliable screw pump manufacturer. This ensured that within two days we had specified a suitable pump and sent our quotation to the customer. As specifications altered over the following months, which is common in new build applications, we continued working to the same timescales.

By working in partnership with the customer and manufacturer we were able to devise a solution. During the process we supplied many custom drawings and technical documents as we believe in offering the customer as much support as possible.
